Steam Summer Otome Game Sales (Ends July 9th)

The Steam Summer Sale is on! This is a curated list of otome games on sale.

It is by no means comprehensive; I am highlighting games I’ve either played, want to play, or have decent reviews. Click the image or the text for the steam store link!

As a bonus, for your first purchase over $30, you get a $5 off coupon!

First, OZMAFIA!!! A classic game that was one of the first I reviewed for this site! It’s on sale for 40% off for $20.99!

Psychedelica of the Ashen Hawk is engraved in the summer of otome that was for the Vita several years ago. What a great summer that was It’s a great game and it’s 60% off for $11.99!

7’Scarlet is also a fantastic game for 60% off at $11.99! Totally worth every penny!

Psychedelica of the Black Butterfly is the third game of that glorious summer and it is an equally fantastic game. It’s currently 60% off for $11.99! I have a lengthy review I need to pare down for this game before I publish it…

London Detective Mysteria~ I have yet to play this game, but I did buy it during this sale! It looks mysterious and fun! 40% off for $17.99!

Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds has been ported almost everywhere since it’s been released but if you haven’t picked it up yet, you can find it on sale for $4.49, 75% off! I remember playing it but all I remember is that it was good and I learned that samurai-era games are absolutely a mood thing for me.

Hakuoki: Edo Blossoms is also on sale for $4.49, 70% off cover price! I remember playing it, but I don’t remember my impressions… I suppose if I do a replay it’ll feel like a fresh game! ehehe…

Also from Mangagamer, STEAM PRISON is 35% off for $22.74! I still have this in queue to be played but just look at that art! *chef’s kiss*

Nameless… I have such fond memories of this game. It made me cry. The game is made by Cheritz, who are best known for Mystic Messenger now. Trust me, this is a fantastic game. It is 10% off for $26.99!

Hatoful Boyfriend is a classic of the genre. It’s on sale for $2.49, 75% off!

Backstage Pass is an indie game with high production values. I have not personally played it but it is popular with user reviews. It is 40% off for $17.99!

Akash: Path of the Five is an indie otome game that is currently 50% off for $12.49. I have yet to play but it does have good user reviews.

the Confines of the Crown is an indie game. I own it, but I have yet to play it. It is on sale for %6.99, 65% off normal price!

I have yet to play Royal Alchemist, but it has high user reviews and is 10% off for $17.99! You can choose a male or female avatar to make a BL or otome game!

Next up is Dandelion! The makers of this game are more known for Mystic Messenger (for cell phones) but in the early days of otome fandom, this was one of the games to get! It’s structured like a normal game and the primary checks are not choices, but stats! So if you don’t enjoy stat raising otoge, I don’t recommend this one.

I remember when Amnesia was first released… It’s been a long time since I’ve played it, but my memory is rather lukewarm. It’s 50% off for $4.99! Really, can you go wrong with that price? I think not!

Hustle Cat is an indie game that lets you choose your avatar and pronouns! It is SUPER ADORABLE and a whopping 85% off for $2.99! Honestly, it is worth full price, GET THIS GAME!

Nightshade is a game from D3P, who is rather… known for their poor localizations of their other games. I haven’t personally played this so I cannot vouch for anything but it does have high reviews on Steam, so I’ve included it. 30% off for $24.99

Fashioning Little Miss Lonesome is a 18+ game, on sale for 50% off at $12.49! I had mixed feelings about this game (there’s an ancient review draft for it in my files but I lost all the screenshots and am not keen to replay for them again) but there are not many adult otome games so it’s still worth mentioning.

What I personally bought?

I had several of these games in my library already, but I picked up London Mysteria, a visual novel but not otome Disco Elysium, and the PC version of 7’Scarlet (I already own it on Vita, but the convenience of PC…)
